Xiaomi has recently launched its latest budget flagship Redmi K20 Series on 12th July 2019. The Redmi K20 Series consists of two devices i.e Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20. It is also expected that the Mi Band 4 will be launched with Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20.

It is expected that Redmi K20 Pro is priced at Rs.27,999 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and Rs.30,999 for 8GB and 256GB storage. Build Quality

It is equipped with a 6.39-inch capacitive touchscreen which holds a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. Its screen is of ratio 19.5:9. The claimed screen to body ratio i.e. width is 91.9%. The screen packs a pixel density which offers clarity up to 403 PPI. Isn’t that out of imagination? And not only the screen but the whole body is made up of Corning Gorilla Glass v5.

As far as dimensions are concerned, the device measures 156.70 x 74.30 x 8.80mm in (height x width x thickness) with its weight at 191 grams. The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by a 2.8Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and is the cheapest phone with such powerful processor which features 8 cores of which 1 core is clocked at 2.84GHz, 3 cores clocked at 2.42 GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.8Ghz. This gives the user plenty of power, long-lasting battery, and smooth processing. The mobile is equipped with 6 GB to 8 GB of RAM. For graphics, the device comes with Adreno 640.

Battery

This device is powered by 4,000mAh Li-Polymer battery which is the norms nowadays in the latest devices. The Redmi K20 Pro supports fast charging with 0-58% in 30 minutes with the help of a Type-C charger which can deliver 27 watts/minute but the 27-watt charger is not available with the box.

Camera

The Redmi K20 Pro packs a triple camera setup with 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture with a pixel size of 1.6-micron a second, an 8-megapixel camera which comes with an f/2.4 aperture and a pixel size of 1.12 micron. The rear camera features autofocus and the front camera of 20-megapixel for selfies and portraits.

The front camera can shoot at 1080p@30 fps. The front camera is mounted on a motorized popup which comes out from the top when you open the camera app or need to unlock the phone using face unlock. This gives more space on the display and makes it truly bezel-less.

Connectivity

The Redmi K20 Pro comes with Android Pie which runs on MIUI 10 and has a storage capacity of 64 GB of inbuilt storage, the storage, however, is fixed and cannot be expanded. The device accepts Nano-SIM and has dual SIM capacity with both being Nano-SIM.

For connectivity, the Redmi K20 Pro includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, Infrared, USB Type-C, 3G and 4G support. This includes support for Band 40 which is being used by some LTE networks in India and 4G support on both the SIM cards. The GPS comes with dual-band.

For sensors, the Redmi K20 Pro houses an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, magnetometer, and an optical in-display fingerprint reader. The device also supports the face unlock feature. It is surrounded by 3D glass surface and sleek frame which make the phone fit flexibly into the hands.

Conclusion

Redmi K20 looks promising and will be surely one of the best flagship devices in the market. Apart from that Poco F1 is also a great alternative if you are on a strict budget. It is also expected that Xiaomi will launch Mi Smart Band 4 along with Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.
